Record

Click Roll, click Record. A small bar sits on the page with the timer, Pause, and Stop. Stopping opens the viewer.

Record area

Open the chevron next to Record to pick:

• Tab (default) — starts instantly and records only the current tab. If you move to another tab, a quiet pill shows what is being recorded; press ⌥⇧R to move the recording to the tab you're on.
• Screen — Chrome's share sheet appears once. Pick a tab, a window, or the entire screen. After that, switching tabs is just part of the video.

Rewind

Turn Rewind on and forget it. Roll keeps the last 2 minutes (5 on Pro) in memory — nothing is saved until you press Save on the bar or in the popup. Then the last window becomes a normal Roll and the buffer keeps running.

Pause

Pause stops the video and the capture; the timer stands still. In the viewer, paused time is skipped so clicks and errors still line up with the picture.

What gets captured

• Video and tab audio
• Console: log, warn, error, uncaught exceptions, unhandled rejections — with stacks
• Network: fetch and XHR with request and response bodies (text, capped at 64KB)
• Clicks, typing, submits, navigations, tab switches
• Page URL, viewport, browser, OS, timezone

Authorization, cookie, and API-key headers are redacted. Password, card, and one-time-code fields are never recorded. Streaming responses are never read.
