Terms of use
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms cover the Roll Chrome extension, the Roll MCP server, and https://rollapp.pro. Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you do not, do not use them.
What you get
A personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Roll for recording and sharing software defects. The free tier has no time limit. Pro is a one-time payment of $29 that removes the recording length cap, extends the instant replay buffer, keeps published links until you delete them, and covers up to three devices.
Pro is a licence for the current major version and the updates we ship to it. It is not a promise of any specific future feature.
What you may record
You are responsible for what you capture. Do not use Roll to record people without the consent your jurisdiction requires, to capture someone else's confidential data, or to collect credentials. Recording is an explicit action you take on a page you chose.
Published links are unlisted, not access-controlled. Anyone with the link can open the recording. Do not publish a recording containing data you are not free to share.
Your content
Recordings are yours. We claim no ownership. Recordings stay on your computer unless you publish one, and publishing uploads only that recording's files. You can delete a published recording at any time from the dashboard, which removes it from our storage.
Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record and handles billing, tax and invoices. Your purchase is also subject to their terms at checkout.
If Pro does not do what this site says it does, mail support@rollapp.pro within 14 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. No form, no justification needed.
Availability
Recording, playback and the MCP server run locally and keep working whether or not this site is up. Publishing, sign-in and Pro activation depend on the hosted service, which we provide as-is with no uptime guarantee.
Acceptable use
- Do not resell or redistribute Roll as your own product.
- Do not attempt to bypass the licence check or share a Pro licence across teams.
- Do not use the publish endpoints to host files unrelated to a recording.
- Do not attack the service, the storage, or other users' links.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules. For a paid licence we will refund the unused portion unless the abuse was deliberate.
Liability
Roll is provided without warranties. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or anything you published by mistake.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted by the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Roll after a change means you accept it.
