Screen recorder for bugs

Roll a bug to your agent.

Record this tab: video, console, network, and clicks. Nothing uploads until you publish a link.

The recording is the ticket

Console, network, and clicks ride along with the video. Your agent gets a timeline instead of a 40MB file in the prompt.

Tab only, on purpose

Chrome records the page you chose. No desktop, no other windows, no account to start.

MCP stays on the machine

Cursor and Claude Code talk to @trace/mcp over stdio. There is no hosted MCP login.

Share when you mean it

GitHub or Google sign-in publishes a link. Free links last 7 days. Pro keeps them until you delete.

Record the tab

Click Roll in Chrome, then Record. A stop bar sits on the page, even if you switch tabs. Five minutes on Free, no cap on Pro.

Hand it to your agent

MCP returns a timeline, logs, and network. Paste a published /c/ link, or ask for the latest local file.

Share only if you want

Sign in to publish. Copy link is the share action. We do not push to Jira or Slack.

Point your agent at local files

Capture never needs an account. MCP reads the same recordings the extension writes on this machine.

MCP setup
