Roll is a tab screen recorder for bug reports. Recording works without an account. Sign-in is only for public share links.

Record a tab

1. Install Roll from the Chrome Web Store and pin it.
2. Open the site where the bug happens (not a chrome:// page).
3. Click the Roll icon, then Record this tab. Or press Command-Shift-Space (Mac) / Ctrl-Shift-Space (Windows, Linux).
4. Press Stop when you are done. A local viewer opens with the video.

Share a link

Publishing is optional. Sign in on the dashboard, then share from the viewer. Free links last 7 days. Pro links stay until you delete them.

Common issues

• Nothing records on chrome://, the Web Store, or PDFs — open a normal https page.
• Chrome will warn that Roll can read and change data on websites. That warning is expected: tab capture has to see the page you chose to record.
• A public /c/ link only works after you publish that recording while signed in.

Privacy

Read the privacy policy. Recordings stay on this computer until you publish one.
